I love reading about how little children use language. It's fascinating because their logic is often quite sound; they're just confused about how stuff works.
I saw a lovely example recently: someone's kid liked Cheez-its, and his parents referred to them as 'orange crackers' because they were teaching him colour words. The kid thought the 'orange' part meant 'something I like', so he would say things like 'orange blanket'. That's brilliant.
@Inskora When B1 was little, she adopted "reach" as a unit of how unable she was to get to something. So if she couldn't get to something she would say it was "too reach".
